Effect of N-(2-Aminoethyl)-3-Aminopropyltrimethoxysilane on the Adhesion of the Modified Silicone Tie-Coating to Epoxy Primer

In this work, modified silicone tie-paints were prepared in a simple way for securing adhesion between the epoxy anticorrosive primer and fouling release coating. Hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) mixture containing fillers accessory ingredient was as base component. N-(2-Aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (DAMO) mechanically mixed with other functional additives curing ATR-FTIR, XPS, SEM tensile tests used to investigate chemical structure, morphology mechanical properties of tie-coatings. It focused on effect DAMO content tie-coating primer. Peel off shear carried out evaluate adhesion. The results showed that introducing can significantly improve tie-coating. increases increase content, but excessive will decrease fracture strength quality When is 1.97 wt.%, performs excellent interlaminar adhesion, properties.
